Designations

THE CRS® DESIGNATION

The CRS® Designation, awarded by the Council of Residential Specialists, is the highest professional designation awarded to REALTORS® in the residential sales field. Less than 4% of all REALTORS® hold the CRS® Designation. CRS Designees earn an average of $160,500 annually - four times as much as the typical REALTOR® who sells residential real estate.

GRI

The Graduate REALTOR® Institute, (GRI), is a nationally recognized designation. The designation sets the standards for real estate professionalism, knowledge and productivity, by providing sound training in the critical skills of the real estate business. The GRI designation signifies a dedicated and knowledgeable professional within the industry. REALTORS® with the GRI designation are highly trained in many areas of real estate to better serve and protect their clients. Learn about other benefits of earning the GRI designation.

The GRI designation is granted through state associations whose Institute courses of study meet the standards established by the National Association of REALTORS®. Colorado’s GRI ranks as one of the country’s top Institute programs and cutting edge in technology with the full curriculum available on-line.

GRI Designation Program

Developed for members of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® and offered through State REALTOR® Associations, the GRI program includes 90 hours of course work on various topics such as marketing and servicing listed properties to real estate law.

What is the MRE?

MRE stands for Master of Real Estate. The MRE designation is awarded through Colorado Association of REALTORS® Education Services. The MRE program is designed to provide advanced training beyond the GRI designation. It provides critical skills of the real estate business and provides education on current real estate topics and issues. The MRE designation signifies a broker dedicated to professional development.

The REALTORS® Land Institute's main objective is to bring together real estate professionals interested in the improvement of their professional competence in activities related to land; including land brokerage, agribusiness, land management, planning and developing, appraising, acquisition, and any other land specialty areas. This goal is carried out through various programs

As a leading land education source, the REALTORS® Land Institute offers the only land education program. RLI also offers the Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) designation. This designation is only awarded to those who meet strict requirements such as required Land University courses, experience in the field, involvement and service to the institute. RLI's National Marketing Sessions provide a national forum for members to represent client's interests, whether buying, selling, or exchanging.

CRB - Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager

This real estate designation is geared toward real estate professionals that consistently increase their level of industry knowledge and increase their firm's profitability. This designation is managed by The Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers.
